STUMP SCENE IT? OFFICIAL RULES
1. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
ENTRY VIA TWITTER AND TWITTER ACCOUNT AND CONNECTION REQUIRED. “PROTECTED” TWITTER ACCOUNTS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SEND ENTRIES. ODDS OF WINNING WILL DEPEND ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ENTRIES RECEIVED.
2. SPONSOR: The sponsor of the Sweepstakes is Screenlife, LLC ("Sponsor"), 315 5th Avenue South, Suite 600, Seattle, WA 98104. Twitter, Inc. is not a sponsor of this Sweepstakes and does not endorse or otherwise have anything to do with this Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes shall be subject to these “Official Rules”, and by entering, all participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein.
3. PROMOTION PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 p.m. PST on October 29th, 2010 and ends at 1:30:00 p.m. PST on October 29, 2025 (“Entry Period”).
4. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to residents of the 50 United States of America or the District of Columbia who at the time of entry are 18 years old or older, had internet access and were registered members in good standing of Twitter. Employees of Sponsor, its prize providers and licensors, and each of the foregoing entities' affiliates, authorized designees and other related entities, and any other individual or entity associated with the development, judging or administration of the Sweepstakes (collectively, the "Sweepstakes Entities"), as well as members of such employees' immediate families (spouses, children, siblings, parents), and persons living in the same household as such persons, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes.
5. HOW TO ENTER: You must be a registered member of Twitter in order to participate in the Sweepstakes or win a prize. Membership on Twitter is free, and registration for Twitter can be obtained by logging on to http://twitter.com (the “Web Site”) and following the onscreen instructions to open an account. During the Entry Period members of Twitter may enter by logging in to their Twitter account and doing either of the following:
1. Follow the Twitter account of Sponsor located at www.twitter.com/sceneit. If your Twitter account is set to “protected mode,” your updates/responses may not be visible in Sponsor’s inbox and may not thus be received by Sponsor unless you previously consented to permit Sponsor to see your Twitter updates. Messages not received by Sponsor will not be entered into Sweepstakes;
2. Send a tweet to @sceneit and participate in the Twilight Saga Stump Scene It? Challenge by submitting a Twilight-related trivia question to Sponsor’s panel of “experts” during the Promotion Period (the “Submission”). Each Submission that is entered into the Sweepstakes must meet the following "Submission Requirements" (any Submission that, in Sponsor's sole and absolute discretion, violates the following criteria will be disqualified): (a) each tweet must contain a trivia question related to any of the first three Twilight Saga movies; and (b) the tweet must adhere to Twitter’s 140-character limit. Any Submission that is considered by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion to be obscene, pornographic, libelous, hate speech, or otherwise objectionable, in whole or in part, will be disqualified and will not be eligible for entry.
By completing the foregoing during the Entry Period, you will be entered into the Sweepstakes (“Entry”) and each individual submitting such Entry shall be an “Entrant”. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 1:30:00 p.m. PST on October 29, 2025.
Except as otherwise contemplated in these Official Rules, and to the extent Entrants may otherwise elect at the time of entry, personal information collected in connection with the Sweepstakes will be used in accordance with the online privacy policy available at www.screenlifegames.com. Any communication or information transmitted to Sponsor by e-mail or otherwise is and will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. Proof of submission is not considered proof of delivery to or receipt of such entry. Furthermore, Sponsor shall have no liability for any Submission that is lost, intercepted, or not received by the Sponsor. Sponsor is the official time keeper for the Sweepstakes. All entry information and materials, including any copy of the Submission submitted to Sponsor, become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Limit one (1) entry per Twitter account holder. Creating multiple Twitter Accounts in order to exceed the limits on Entries permitted by these Official Rules may result in the disqualification of all Entries from such accounts. All entries must comply with the Twitter Terms of Service and Twitter Rules available at the Web Site.
Important Note: It is each Entrant’s responsibility to set his/her account settings to accept contacts by Sponsor and to timely check his/her Twitter account for any Sponsor direct messages or @Replies. If you opt to use Twitter via your wireless mobile device (which may only be available via participating wireless carriers and is not required to enter the Sweepstakes), standard text messaging and/or data rates may apply for each message sent or received from your handset according to the terms and conditions of your service agreement with your wireless carrier. Other charges may apply (such as normal airtime and carrier charges) and may appear on your mobile phone bill or be deducted from your prepaid account balance. Wireless carriers' rate plans may vary, and you should contact your wireless carrier for more information on messaging rate plans and charges relating to your participation in this Sweepstakes. Participation in this Sweepstakes by mobile device means that you understand that you may receive additional messages by mobile device relating to this Sweepstakes, including notifying you if you are the winner, which may be subject to charges pursuant to your carrier's rate plan. Text messaging may not be available from all mobile phone service carriers and handset models. Mobile device service may not be available in all areas. Check your phone’s capabilities for specific instructions.
6. REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES; INDEMNIFICATION: Each Entrant who enters the Sweepstakes represents and warrants as follows: (a) the Submission does not contain any harmful computer code and is not otherwise corrupted; (b) the Submission does not and will not violate or infringe upon the intellectual property rights or other rights of any other person or entity; and (c) the Submission does not and will not violate any applicable laws, and is not and will not be defamatory or obscene.
Each Entrant hereby agrees to indemnify and hold the Sweepstakes Entities and Twitter harmless from and against any and all third party claims, actions, or proceedings of any kind and from any and all damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses relating to or arising out of any breach or alleged breach of any of the covenants, representations, and warranties of Entrant hereunder.
If, for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, or if this Sweepstakes or any web site associated therewith (or any portion thereof), including, but not limited to, the Web Site, becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper playing of the Sweepstakes and processing of entries in accordance with these rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, shutdown of the Twitter service, or any other causes, in the Sponsor’s sole opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Sweepstakes or any portion thereof. The Releasees (defined below) are not responsible for any changes or unavailability of the Twitter service that may interfere with the Sweepstakes (including any limitations, any restrictions, or any conditions on Sponsor’s ability to use the Web Site for the Sweepstakes as set forth herein that are not acceptable to Sponsor) or ability of Entrant to timely enter, receive notices, or communicate with Sponsor via Twitter, in which case Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may terminate or modify the Sweepstakes. In the event this Sweepstakes is cancelled, the Sponsor will conduct a random drawing to award the prize from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation. If such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension occurs, notification will be posted at: http://www.screenlifegames.com/company/Contests.htm. Any attempt by an Entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any web site(s) (including the Web Site) or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and/or civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. In the event of a dispute concerning who submitted an Entry tweet, the Entry tweet will be declared to have been made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the Twitter account for the potentially winning Entry tweet, but only if that person meets all other eligibility criteria. An authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Potential winner may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder for the e-mail address associated with the Twitter account for the potentially winning Entry tweets. If a dispute cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the Entry will be deemed ineligible.
7. PRIZES: 10 copies of the Scene it? Twilight Saga DVD game are available as prizes, which will be sent to the winners by Sponsor. The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each prize is $29.99. Total prize ARV: $299.90. No cash alternative or substitution of prizes will be allowed, except Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute prizes of comparable value if any prizes are unavailable, in whole or in part, for any reason. THE WINNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REPORTING AND PAYING ANY AND ALL INCOME, SALES OR EXCISE TAXES THAT MAY APPLY TO ACCEPTING PRIZES; SPONSOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR AND WILL NOT PAY ANY SUCH TAXES.
8. ODDS: The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Sponsor cannot accurately predict the number of entrants who will participate in the Sweepstakes.
9. WINNER SELECTION; JUDGING CRITERIA: Sponsor will randomly select ten (10) winners from among all eligible entries received. In the event a winning entry is discovered to be invalid for any reason whatsoever or the person who submitted the winning entry fails to comply with these Official Rules prior to delivery of the prize, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Decisions of Sponsor shall be final and binding in all matters related to the selection of the winner.
10. NOTICE TO WINNER: Attempts to notify potential winners will be made by using the direct message feature on Twitter for the user account of the winning Entry. It is Entrant’s responsibility to timely set account settings to accept contacts by Sponsor and to timely check his/her account for such messages. Sponsor is not responsible for any failure of delivery of notice attempting to use such methods. Sponsor is not responsible for e-mail, telephone, or other communication problems of any kind. If, despite reasonable efforts, a potential winner does not respond within ten (10) days of the first notification attempt (or such shorter time as exigencies may require), or if the prize or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to such potential winner, such potential winner will forfeit his or her prize and an alternate winner may be selected.
11. VERIFICATION OF WINNERS: Winner will be required to provide (or confirm) information that includes, but is not limited to, the following: name, email address, street address, city, state, zip code, daytime telephone number, and date of birth and verify eligibility per these Official Rules. Potential winners may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, Submission license/assignment documents and (where imposing such condition is legal) a Publicity Release (collectively, "Prize Claim Documents"). If any potential winner fails or refuses to sign and return all Prize Claim Documents within ten (10) days of prize notification (or such shorter time as exigencies may require), the winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected. Winner may be required to provide Sponsor with a valid social security number or tax identification number before the prize will be awarded for tax reporting purposes.
12. THE SWEEPSTAKES ENTITIES, TWITTER, INC., AND ANY AND ALL INTERNET SERVER(S) AND ACCESS PROVIDER(S), WEB SITE HOSTS AND FACILITATORS AND CELLULAR PROVIDER(S), AND EACH OF THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, PARENT CORPORATIONS AND ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL OF THEIR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, SHAREHOLDERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS (COLLECTIVELY, “RELEASEES”) SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ENTRIES THAT ARE ENTERED BY OTHER THAN HUMAN MEANS (SUCH AS BY AN AUTOMATED COMPUTER PROGRAM OR ANY NON-HUMAN MECHANISM, ENTITY, OR DEVICE), IN EXCESS OF THE STATED LIMIT, OR FOR ENTRIES THAT ARE LATE, FORGED, DESTROYED, LOST, MISPLACED, STOLEN, MISDIRECTED, TAMPERED WITH, INCOMPLETE, DELETED, DAMAGED, GARBLED, OR OTHERWISE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THESE OFFICIAL RULES, AND ALL SUCH ENTRIES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, EACH ENTRANT AGREES: (A) TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND BY ALL APPLICABLE LAWS AND ALL DECISIONS OF SPONSOR AND THE INDIVIDUAL JUDGES WHICH SHALL BE BINDING AND FINAL; (B) TO WAIVE ANY RIGHTS TO CLAIM AMBIGUITY WITH RESPECT TO THE OFFICIAL RULES; (C) TO WAIVE ALL OF HIS OR HER RIGHTS TO BRING ANY CLAIM, ACTION, OR PROCEEDING AGAINST ANY OF THE SWEEPSTAKES ENTITIES OR TWITTER; AND (D) TO RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS EACH OF THE RELEASEES, FROM ANY LIABILITY (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LIABILITY FOR ANY PROPERTY LOSS, DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, BODILY INJURY, DEATH, LOSS, EXPENSE, ACCIDENT, DELAY, INCONVENIENCE, OR IRREGULARITY), COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, REASONABLE OUTSIDE ATTORNEY'S FEES) THAT MAY ARISE IN CONNECTION WITH: (I) THE ENTRANT'S PARTICIPATION OR INABILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, (II) TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS IN THE OFFICIAL RULES OR ANY SWEEPSTAKES PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS, (III) ACCEPTANCE OR POSSESSION, DEFECTS IN, USE, MISUSE OR INABILITY TO USE ANY PRIZE (OR ANY COMPONENT THEREOF), (IV) ANY CHANGE BY ANY COMPANY OR ANY OTHER PERSON PROVIDING ANY OF THE COMPONENTS OF A PRIZE DUE TO REASONS BEYOND ANY OF THE SWEEPSTAKES ENTITIES' CONTROL OR AS OTHERWISE PERMITTED HEREUNDER, (V) ANY INTERRUPTIONS IN OR POSTPONEMENT, CANCELLATION, OR MODIFICATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, (VI) HUMAN ERROR, (VII) INCORRECT OR INACCURATE TRANSCRIPTION, RECEIPT, OR TRANSMISSION OF ANY PART OF THE ENTRY (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE ENTRY INFORMATION OR ANY PARTS THEREOF), (VIII) ANY TECHNICAL MALFUNCTIONS OR UNAVAILABILITY OF THE WEBSITE OR ANY TELEPHONE NETWORK, COMPUTER ONLINE SYSTEM, COMPUTER DATING MECHANISM, COMPUTER EQUIPMENT, SOFTWARE, OR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER UTILIZED BY ANY OF THE SWEEPSTAKES ENTITIES OR BY AN ENTRANT, (IX) INTERRUPTION OR INABILITY TO ACCESS THE SWEEPSTAKES, ANY SWEEPSTAKES-RELATED WEB PAGES, OR ANY ONLINE SERVICE VIA THE INTERNET DUE TO HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY PROBLEMS, (X) ANY DAMAGE TO ENTRANT'S (OR ANY THIRD PERSON'S) COMPUTER OR ITS CONTENTS RELATED TO OR RESULTING FROM ANY PART OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, (XI) ANY LOST OR DELAYED DATA TRANSMISSIONS, OMISSIONS, INTERRUPTIONS, DEFECTS, OR ANY OTHER ERRORS OR MALFUNCTIONS, (XII) ANY WRONGFUL, NEGLIGENT, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACT OR OMISSIONS ON THE PART OF ANY OF THE SWEEPSTAKES ENTITIES, OR ANY OF THEIR AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES, OR (XIII) ANY OTHER CAUSE, CONDITION OR EVENT WHATSOEVER BEYOND THE CONTROL OF ANY ONE OR MORE OF THE SWEEPSTAKES ENTITIES. EACH WINNER HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE RELEASES HAVE NEITHER MADE NOR ARE IN ANY MANNER RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION OR GUARANTEE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR IN LAW, RELATIVE TO ANY PRIZE OR COMPONENT THEREOF, INCLUDING ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES PROVIDED BY ANY OF THE PRIZE PROVIDERS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES. ANY DAMAGE MADE TO THE TWITTER SERVICE WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE AUTHORIZED ACCOUNT HOLDER OF THE E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR THE TWITTER ACCOUNT SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.
13. Acceptance of a prize constitutes winner's permission for Sponsor to use winner's name, Twitter user name, photograph, likeness, voice, biographical information, statements, and address (city and state) for advertising or publicity purposes in connection with his or her Submission and Screenlife, LLC, worldwide, and in all forms of media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
14. Sponsor reserves the right to suspend or cancel the Sweepstakes or modify these Official Rules as necessary for any reason or as required by applicable law. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify from the Sweepstakes, and ban from any future promotions, any person it believes to have intentionally violated these Official Rules, or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or to have tampered with any element of the Sweepstakes without notice to the disqualified or banned person.
15. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights and obligations of entrants and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of laws rules or provisions. Any legal claims arising out of or relating to the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules must be brought in the federal or state courts located in Seattle, Washington.

To obtain any legally-required winners list (after the conclusion of the Sweepstakes) or a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed envelope with the proper postage affixed to: Screenlife, LLC, 315 5th Avenue South, Suite 600, Seattle, WA 98104. Please specify "Stump Scene It? Twilight winners list" or "Stump Scene It? Twilight Official Rules" in your request. Residents of Vermont may omit the return postage on their Official Rules request. Official Rules are also available during the Entry Period at : http://www.screenlifegames.com/company/Contests.htm.
